Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thomasse, and I couldn't resist sharing my experience, especially as a wildlife conservationist who values culinary innovation just as much as I do nature. The hotel boasts a beautifully designed restaurant area, filled with food trucks and refreshment stands, offering a vibrant ambiance that invites you to explore diverse flavors. For breakfast, I indulged in local delicacies that beautifully showcased the rich offerings of the Cantal region, well-known for its exceptional cheeses. I couldn't shake the feeling that the price was a touch steep for what I received-definitely something to consider for the budget-conscious traveler. The serene atmosphere in my tastefully decorated room provided a necessary retreat after a day of exploring. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was, despite being street-facing. The hotel's setting, surrounded by stunning mountains, made for a picturesque backdrop. If you're a food lover visiting the area, Thomasse is certainly worth a stop. It's just a 15-minute walk to the town centre, making it conveniently located for exploring local history and culture.
